Hometown Underground is dedicated to help young musicians access other young musicians that they may not otherwise be able to get into contact with in order to bring them together and create a whole new musical experience.

Keep sending in your submissions and spreading the word about this! The only way for this to be an effective tool is to reach out to as many musicians as possible. So tell your friends, tell your friends’ friends, tell your cousins, tell whoever you think would be able to use this resource.
Send messages to people, post the link on your Tumblr, write a little bit about why you think that people should follow us. Do whatever you think it takes to get us out there! All of your help is greatly appreciated and we will follow back every single person who helps us in promoting.

Hello everyone!
I figured I would take the time to introduce myself so that you know the person who is behind the blog a little.
My name is Briana Miller. I’m 20 years old and I live in Lynchburg, Virginia, with my family. I just recently moved here after living in Huntingtown, Maryland, for 10 years. While I was in Maryland, I started a band with some friends of mine called Out of Our League. At the current moment it is just myself on rhythm guitar and vocals and my friend Matt on keys and back vocals and that is where the idea for this Tumblr spawned.
We’re in the process of finding new band members to join us, but found that it’s difficult to do so with him still back in Maryland for the time being as he finishes up high school and myself down here. I’m not enrolled in school, so I really don’t have much of a way to interact with people my age or who might like the same type of music that I do other than here on Tumblr. While there are many sites out there that let you post ads in search of musicians, none of them are very geared towards the teen and young adult crowd.
That is what I hope to accomplish with this Tumblr. I hope to allow people in that age range to reach out to each other so that they may be able to find someone to piece together a project and create music that they enjoy with people that are like them. I hope that you all find it to be a useful tool and that you find what you’re looking for.
